The NERC-ICSSR, Shillong, is happy to announce its Second workshop on ICSSR School for Doctoral Scholars for the social science research scholars of North-Eastern region both in Sociology and Anthropology.
Objective: The primary intent of this program is to select up to 30 young (under 45 years) doctoral scholars from the North-Eastern region and impart knowledge on recent development and research areas in the identified disciplines (for this year Sociology and Anthropology) with added exposure to research methodology. Eminent resource persons from regional, national and international will be invited to interact with the participants with the following advantage:
to avoid repetitive research by different scholars of different Universities,
to enable the scholars of this region to interact closely with the scholars of different Universities in the region, and
to familiarize the new frontier of the discipline to the participants which will improve the quality of their research
Eligibility: ICSSR-NERC seeks to strengthen young doctoral research scholars, hence, the program is open to scholars who are registered Ph.D.’s in Sociology and Anthropology.
