Lecture Cum Workshop on AI-Assisted Review of Literature for Research: Tools, Techniques and Ethical Considerations

Lecture cum Workshop on AI-Assisted Review of Literature for Research: Tools,
Techniques, and Ethical Considerations

Background and Rationale
conducting literature reviews. While AI enhances efficiency in searching, summarizing, and synthesizing scholarly works, it also raises serious concerns regarding academic integrity, plagiarism, fabricated citations, and epistemic bias. In the absence of structured training and clear ethical guidelines, scholars may inadvertently misuse AI tools, leading to compromised academic standards. The increasing reliance on AI in knowledge production, therefore, necessitates a deeper engagement with questions of responsibility, transparency, and ethical accountability. There is an urgent need to sensitise researchers to the ethical boundaries of AI-assisted academic writing and to equip them with practical skills for its responsible use.
Against this backdrop, the proposed Lecture cum workshop seeks to create an informed academic dialogue on the ethical integration of AI tools in the process of writing literature reviews.
